Traditional Micro needling vs RF Micro needling

RF Micro needling involves an additional element of radiofrequency energy (heat) that enables more dramatic and faster results. Is RF Micro needling painful and how long is the procedure?
To ensure patient’s comfort throughout the procedure, topical anaesthetic is applied before starting the treatment. Some patients can experience a prickling sensation and heat. The treatment can take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.
What are the side effects?
The recovery time for RF Micro needling treatment is much shorter than the recovery time for aggressive deep chemical peels or laser resurfacing treatments. Most patients experience mild redness or minor swelling for 1- or 2-days following treatment. You can apply makeup after 24 hours.
Is there downtime following the treatment??
Not usually. Patients usually experience little or no downtime after a RF Micro needling procedure. Patients can usually get back to their usual routine within a day. How long will the results last?
